Porsche Might Not Be The Only One Backtracking On EV Sports Car Promises

Alpine's next A110 might not be all-electric as previously thought, thanks to a new dual-motor hybrid engine developed by Horse.

Horse, a joint venture between Renault and China's Geely, has created two petrol-electric engines designed to help automakers hybridize EV platforms.

The engines are 1.5-liter transverse units with four cylinders.
A three-cylinder version may follow in the future.
The base version with one electric motor measures just 25.6 inches (650 mm) end to end.

Alpine’s featherweight A110 sports coupe has the sort of steering feel and balance that can make even a Cayman sweat.
