Holy Cross Claims First-Ever District Title
The Holy Cross Indians have achieved a milestone, winning their first-ever district championship in football with a perfect 9-0 record.
According to Dan Weber, NKyTribune sports reporter, this victory is significant, as the school previously won a state football championship without being district champions.
Indeed, the small parochial school from Latonia did win a state football championship, but in a year when the Indians were not district champions.
The Indians secured their title with a 43-6 win over the Ludlow Panthers at Rigney Stadium, leading 36-0 at halftime and prompting a running clock in the second half.
