California Governor Gavin Newsom is considering a White House bid after the midterms.
Newsom told CBS Sunday Morning's Robert Costa,
"Yeah, I'd be lying otherwise,"when asked if he's giving serious thought to a presidential run.
"I'd just be lying, and I'm not — I can't do that,"Newsom added, stating that
"Fate will determine that,"regarding his potential 2028 bid.
