The Sarnia Sting deserved a better fate in several recent losses, but not on Sunday when they were outworked by the London Knights in a 3-0 loss.
According to Sting head coach Alan Letang,
You don’t win a lot of hockey games in the Western Conference in the OHL if you don’t outwork the team you’re playing against. He added,
Give the Knights a lot of credit. They came in and they competed shift after shift, period after period. We couldn’t consistently match their competitiveness tonight.
Sebastian Gatto made 21 saves for his first OHL shutout, and the Knights extended their point streak to nine games (7-0-2-0). The only team with a longer point streak is the Eastern Conference-leading Brantford Bulldogs, who have a 12-game point streak.
Author's summary: Sarnia Sting loses 3-0 to London Knights.
