Noise Complaint Leads to Multiple Charges
A noise complaint on Friday night resulted in a lengthy list of charges for a Pikeville man.
Police arrested 26-year-old Yates of Pikeville and charged him with:
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence
- First-degree criminal mischief
- Disorderly conduct
- Operating a motor vehicle on a suspended or revoked license
- Inadequate muffler
- Reckless driving
- Improper equipment
According to police, the noise complaint was made on Kentucky Avenue, where they could hear a loud vehicle being repeatedly revved up, even before getting into their patrol car on Garred Street.
A report of a noise complaint Friday night turned out to be anything but routine for Pikeville city police.
