The second "No Kings" protest in Salt Lake City has concluded, and organizers are reflecting on its outcome and planning future actions.
According to Jamie Carter, one of the organizers, the primary objective was to create a peaceful atmosphere for protesters to gather in front of the Utah Capitol on October 18 and express their opposition to President Donald Trump and his administration.
Organizers were aware of the risks, given the recent incidents of political violence in Utah, including the death of fashion designer Afa Ah Loo on June 14 and the killing of political activist Charlie Kirk on September 10.
