Connected Surveying via GeoCloud Drive
Hexagon's GeoCloud Drive is improving the data connection between surveyors and the office. Stacey Surveying, founded in 2011 by Ash Stacey, has grown to 11 employees, focusing on cadastral surveying, including subdivisions and title re-establishments.
The company faces challenges, particularly with older buildings in Melbourne's suburbs.
We're sometimes dealing with plans from the 1920s and '30s, says Robert Lo Pizzo, Survey Manager. He recalls using survey information from around 1880 in South Melbourne, utilizing old brick corners as datum.
