A ribbon cutting ceremony was held for phase 2 of the Meadows, a home park in Whitecourt, marking the start of construction.
Realtors and community leaders gathered at the Meadows in late October to cut the ribbon on a new phase of housing development. Construction has begun on new housing in the Meadows, located west of École St.

Dennis VanLeeuwen, Quattro Homes builder, said the new development includes 32 lots and the completion date is to be determined. The development will include manufactured homes, modular homes and stick-built homes, he said.
In September 2024, town council approved Land Use Bylaw amendments allowing different types of housing at Meadows Manufactured Home Park, besides manufactured homes.
