Xbox's future is increasingly uncertain as major retailers stop stocking consoles and games for the platform. The platform was once a strong leader during the Xbox 360 era but had a rocky launch during the Xbox One era due to poor messaging.
The emphasis on an always-online system, Kinect, and television strayed away from what gamers wanted. However, the introduction of innovative ideas like Game Pass somewhat recovered the situation later in the generation.
