Bridgwater Nightclub Closes Due to Staff Shortages
A nightclub in Bridgwater has announced its closure due to staff shortages, despite being profitable.
Bliss Bridgwater, located at 62 High Street, has stopped trading operations effective immediately, with the current owners looking to sell.
The business, which opened in February 2024, has operated profitably since its opening and established a strong presence in the local nightlife scene.

The decision to close was “purely operational” as the company has been “unable to secure a sufficiently large pool of skilled staff locally to maintain the high standard of service and safety the venue’s management and guest base expect”.
