Thousands of international students in Hungary may face tightened scholarship contracts due to a recent scandal at ELTE.
A lecture by Alexander Yakobson, a historian from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, was disrupted on October 16, forcing its suspension.
The lecture series, titled "Diverzitás és demokrácia az izraeli társadalomban", is still available on ELTE's website.
The incident began when some students, wearing keffiyehs, shouted that the lecture was political propaganda supporting Israeli genocide, causing a disturbance that couldn't be calmed.
