We face unprecedented global polycrises, with our worlds literally and metaphorically on ‘fire’ and collapsing. People face complex combinations of conflict, intergroup tensions, climate shock, extreme inequalities, state violence, political oppression, and social media-fuelled polarisation.
Effective responses are urgently needed to counter the exhaustion, anguish, despondency, isolation, and fear that many marginalised people and social change actors feel, following rising right-wing authoritarianism, populism, and misinformation.
