Misrata Youth and Revolutionaries Movement: Misratans who met Khaled Haftar represent only themselves
The Misrata Youth and Revolutionaries Movement condemned the meeting of several military figures and individuals from the city with Khaled Haftar in Sirte.
In a statement, the movement said that the people who met with Khaled Haftar, claiming to represent Misrata,
do not represent the city or its revolutionary history.
These individuals were part of groups known as “Against Injustice in Misrata”, whose current actions contradict the slogans and objectives they once promoted, and appear driven by personal interests.
- The statement held those who participated in the meeting responsible for the damage caused to the city’s reputation and its people.
- They were also accused of exploiting the sacrifices of its people in liberating Sirte by trading on their blood to achieve personal gains.
