Canada's Summer Tourism Numbers Reach All-Time High
Record numbers of tourists visited Canada during the summer of 2025, driven by strong domestic and international travel.
The tourism industry saw a significant increase in revenue, reaching $59 billion between May and August, a six per cent increase compared to the same period last year.
- Domestic tourism was up seven per cent, with Canadians choosing to spend their travel dollars within the country.
- Revenue from international travellers increased by 10 per cent, particularly from overseas markets.
According to new figures released by Destination Canada, the summer of 2025 will be remembered fondly by tourism operators across the country.
