Bridgwater Carnival Returns for 2025
Over 100,000 people are expected to attend the Bridgwater Carnival, the largest illuminated carnival in Europe, on November 1, 2025.
The event, which has been held annually since 1847, will feature a procession, fairground rides, concerts, and fireworks.
- Procession route: starts at 6pm on the Parkway
- Finish time: 8:00pm at Northgate
This year's carnival marks 101 years since the last Cornhill bonfires in 1924.
The carnival's history dates back to celebrating Guy Fawkes’ failed Gunpowder Plot in 1605.
