According to Minister MB Rajesh, Kerala is set to become the first Indian state to eradicate extreme poverty.

The initiative, launched in 2021 under the second Pinarayi Vijayan government, has already lifted over 64,000 families out of extreme poverty.

Kerala is all set to create yet another history by becoming the first Indian state to eradicate extreme poverty.

The scheme was launched to ensure no family in the state remains in extreme deprivation. Micro-plans were designed for each identified extremely poor family.
