In the third quarter, Slay exited the game and was seen stretching out his right shoulder after walking off the field. He later rejoined his teammates on the bench, including DeShon Elliott, Juan Thornhill, and Jalen Ramsey.
Sunday marked the second time the Steelers' secondary was fully healthy, with Elliott recovering from a knee injury and Joey Porter Jr. nursing a hamstring ailment since Week 1.
