The second-generation Bose Ultra Earbuds offer top-notch Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), but their design is somewhat chunky.
While the noise-canceling improvements are notable, there's not much to distinguish them from the first generation. Bose has a long history of delivering excellent noise-canceling performance, dating back to the launch of the QuietComfort headphones in 2000.
