A cloudy and chilly pattern has taken over the region, with a mix of rain and mountain snow expected to arrive late this evening and linger overnight.
The wet mix of rain and snow will impact the morning commute from Lava Butte south to La Pine, as well as Sisters, making roads slick.
Winter Weather Advisory
A Winter Weather Advisory is in place for portions of Deschutes and Jefferson Counties until 1 pm Monday.
Affected Areas
- Santiam Pass
- Road to Mt. Bachelor
- Century Drive, close to the resort
The snow level is expected to be around 4500 – 5000 feet, which will impact the mountain passes, with snow able to accumulate on grassy areas, and a snow/slush mix likely on the highest points of the passes.
A Local Alert Weather Day has been issued for Monday to highlight the potential for inconvenient weather.
