The Maryam-e Moqaddas station, or Holy Mary station, features a relief of Christ walking on water and a depiction of Mary praying among flowers.
State media characterizes the station's name and motif as a gesture of cultural coexistence, noting that Mary is also a venerated figure in Islam.
