Teacher Testifies About Being Shot by 6-Year-Old Student
Former Virginia teacher Abigail Zwerner testified in court, recalling the moment she was shot by a 6-year-old student at Richneck Elementary in Newport News, Virginia.
"I thought I was dying, I thought I had died,"
she told the jury, adding that she thought she was on her way to heaven or in heaven before everything went black.
Zwerner's testimony is part of her $40 million lawsuit against former Richneck Elementary assistant principal Ebony Parker, who allegedly ignored warnings about the boy who shot Zwerner.
The incident occurred on January 6, 2023, and Zwerner is now seeking justice.
