The closing date for the sale of The Villages Health to Humana's CenterWell has been delayed by a week, from Friday to Friday, Nov.
The $68 million sale was initially expected to be completed on the original closing date, but last-minute logistics have caused the delay, to which all parties have agreed.
In July, The Villages Health announced its bankruptcy, citing a $360 million "Medicare coding error" as the reason. This decision came after the Morse family had previously emphasized their commitment to providing high-quality patient care, similar to the "Marcus Welby M.D." level of care.
