Plane Crash Northwest of Fort Worth
A plane crash occurred near Hicks Airfield in Tarrant County, just off Business 287, around 1:30 p.m.
The Fort Worth Fire Department confirmed the crash and reported that two victims were found deceased. Multiple semi-trucks caught fire, and small grass fires sparked from the crash, but were quickly contained.
- The crash happened in the 12700 block of N. Saginaw Blvd., near Avondale.
- The FAA and NTSB are on the scene to assist in the investigation.
- Business 287 is shut down for both north and southbound traffic in the area.
No official statement has been released on the cause of the crash.
Motorists are urged to use a different route and avoid the area.
