The Robert Parker Coffin Bridge in Long Grove has been struck by a large trailer, marking at least the 69th time the bridge has been hit.
The incident occurred around 10:50 p.m. on Thursday and was partially caught on surveillance video by Neumann’s Cigars and More.
The video showed the aftermath of the hit, involving a white pickup truck pulling a large trailer that scraped the bridge canopy.
The bridge was previously hit in June by a box truck and on May 20 by another box truck belonging to Northwest Trucks Inc.
No comment from authorities or truck companies was available.
