Ahead of his formal reception into the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, stated that his decision to leave the Peoples Democratic Party was in the best interest of the state.
Someone had to make the decision, and that he did so on behalf of Bayelsans.
Diri acknowledged that his move might initially confuse some, but he’s confident that time will reveal his motives as truly selfless.
He emphasized the importance of unity in Bayelsa for development, saying
Politics should be about building, not destroying, and underscoring his commitment to fostering peace and growth in the state.
