Kimberly-Clark Acquires Kenvue in $49 Billion Deal

Consumer giant Kimberly-Clark, maker of Huggies diapers and Kleenex tissues, is buying Kenvue, the company behind Tylenol and Band-Aids, in a $49 billion merger.

The deal comes amidst controversy, as the Trump administration recently linked acetaminophen, the active ingredient in Tylenol, to autism, despite a lack of clear scientific evidence. Kenvue has denounced these claims as "simply false."

Kenvue has called the assertions linking acetaminophen to autism "simply false."

According to Kimberly-Clark CEO Mike Hsu, the merger will create "a global health and wellness leader" by combining the two "iconic companies".
