Samsung Electro-Mechanics Philippines Corp. (SEMPHIL) will invest Php50.7 billion to build a new manufacturing plant in the Philippines.
The facility will produce multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs), vital for electric cars and advanced smart devices, and is expected to open in July 2027.
The commitment was secured during discussions between a Philippine delegation and top leaders of SEMCO, SEMPHIL’s parent firm, held alongside the 32nd APEC Summit in South Korea.
