Helena candidate McKnight responds to release of highly charged voicemail to Sheehy's office

Helena Candidate Responds to Release of Voicemail

Just a day before Helena's city elections, Senator Tim Sheehy's office reported receiving a threatening voicemail from candidate Haley McKnight, who is running for city commission.

McKnight expressed regret over some of the language used, but felt her anger towards Sheehy's actions in office was "justifiable rage."

Sheehy's policies "stripped away health care" for millions of Americans.

The voicemail was made on July 1, after the Senate advanced the Republicans' "One Big Bill" with tighter restrictions on Medicaid.

Sheehy's office released a statement linking to an article from the National Review, which quotes McKnight's comments.

Author's summary: Candidate responds to voicemail release.
