Rare LS Lowry Works to be Auctioned

Rare works by artist LS Lowry are expected to fetch millions of pounds at an upcoming auction.

The Modern British And Irish Art Evening Sale at Christie's London will feature works from private collections on October 22.

Going To The Match (1928), valued between £2 million and £3 million
Industrial Landscape (1957), valued between £250,000 and £350,000
Bourton-On-The-Water (1947) and A Footbridge (1938), both valued between £400,000 and £600,000

Last year, Senhouse Street, a painting of Maryport, sold for over £800,000 at a London auction.

LS Lowry had a long affiliation with Maryport and Cumbria.
