Air Chief Marshal AP Singh called on young people to work towards restoring India's former glory by rejecting caste and religious biases. Speaking at the sixth convocation of Karnavati University in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, he emphasized the importance of unity, compassion, and teamwork for national progress.
Singh reminded the audience that India was once a global leader but had fallen behind in recent centuries.
“We have to make this nation great. We were once a leader in the world. But we lagged behind during the last few centuries. And, if we have to do well again, it will be the people like you who matter, who are the future of this country.”
The Air Chief Marshal stressed that all citizens share the same blood and belong to one land, urging respect for all sentiments without social divisions.
“There should be no social divide, because whatever divides us is not good. The same blood flows in our veins, and we all belong to the same land. There should not be any discrimination based on caste or religion. Only then will our country progress.”
He urged students to first focus on becoming good human beings with virtues such as compassion, honesty, integrity, and selflessness.
“Before becoming anything else, they have to strive to become good human beings having qualities like compassion, honesty, integrity, and selflessness.”
Singh’s message highlights the crucial role of youth in uniting India and driving its future success.
