Thousands gathered in Kamalganj to celebrate the age-old Maha Raas Leela festival on the full moon night of Kartik Purnima. This grand festival showcased a spectacular display of music, dance, and devotion, marking a major religious and cultural event for the Manipuri communities of Moitoi and Bishnupriya.

Festival Venues and Activities

- Madhabpur Jora Mandap ground: The Bishnupriya Manipuri community organized their Raas Utsob here.
- Adampur Manipuri Cultural Complex: The Moitoi Manipuri community held a parallel celebration at this venue.

The festival’s grand finale featured the traditional Maha Raas Leela, a dramatic portrayal of the divine love story of Lord Krishna and Radha. Artists brought the episodes from Krishna’s life to life through elaborate choreography, soulful singing, and the rhythmic beat of pung drums.
