Avengers: Doomsday Star Channing Tatum Predicts a Cinematic Phenomenon
Channing Tatum, who plays Gambit in the upcoming Marvel movie Avengers: Doomsday, is filled with admiration for what the team has accomplished. Despite the production's secrecy, the actor is passionately fueling anticipation for the MCU's next major crossover.
“Look, everyone in the world is going to see this movie,” Tatum told Deadline. “It's hard to say this because, I mean, you hear these things and go, ‘Of course’. But they've topped themselves every time. This will be the biggest movie of next year and maybe even the next 10 years.”
Tatum revealed that his excitement began the moment he read the initial script and saw the project taking shape on set. Though he avoided revealing specific plot details, his words suggested fans should expect a monumental story.
“The scope of it, what they're trying to do… what the Russos have cooked up – when I read it, I was just like, ‘How are they going to do this?’. It was an Everest of a mountain to climb. I am still in awe,” Tatum said.
Even though Tatum briefly stepped back from filming due to a hamstring injury, he confirmed that his character, Gambit, will play a major part in the action-packed film. His comments also hint that the X-Men will have a significant presence in Avengers: Doomsday.
