The fourth annual Golden Harvest Festival took place on Saturday, November 1, at the California State Capitol, celebrating the city’s cultural richness and unity. The event showcased a lively parade, stage performances, vendor stalls, and interactive programs that brought together locals and visitors alike.
The festival featured colorful floats, multicultural entertainers, and a diverse array of vendors offering food, crafts, and cultural goods. Local food trucks, including Soul on a Roll and Dino Boba, offered a variety of flavors that reflected Sacramento’s multicultural character.
Free admission and transportation provided by Sacramento Regional Transit made the festival accessible to all residents. Volunteers and sponsors also played a crucial role in ensuring the event’s success.
“We have many volunteers to run the event, about a hundred people. We get support from the city and about 30 other sponsors,” said Wei Zhang, CEO and co-founder of the Golden Harvest Parade and Festival committee.
This year introduced a Children’s Games program offering fun activities like origami, bookmark making, and a robotics showcase. The “Artwork Contest” exhibited creative submissions throughout the day, culminating in an awards ceremony at 3:15 p.m.
The Golden Harvest Festival in Sacramento united communities through music, food, and art, embodying the city’s celebration of cultural harmony and creativity.
