The fourth annual Golden Harvest Festival took place on Saturday, November 1, at the California State Capitol, celebrating the city’s cultural richness and unity. The event showcased a lively parade, stage performances, vendor stalls, and interactive programs that brought together locals and visitors alike.

Festival Highlights

The festival featured colorful floats, multicultural entertainers, and a diverse array of vendors offering food, crafts, and cultural goods. Local food trucks, including Soul on a Roll and Dino Boba, offered a variety of flavors that reflected Sacramento’s multicultural character.

Community and Support

Free admission and transportation provided by Sacramento Regional Transit made the festival accessible to all residents. Volunteers and sponsors also played a crucial role in ensuring the event’s success.

“We have many volunteers to run the event, about a hundred people. We get support from the city and about 30 other sponsors,” said Wei Zhang, CEO and co-founder of the Golden Harvest Parade and Festival committee.

This year introduced a Children’s Games program offering fun activities like origami, bookmark making, and a robotics showcase. The “Artwork Contest” exhibited creative submissions throughout the day, culminating in an awards ceremony at 3:15 p.m.
