Riley Keough Says She's Felt Mom Lisa Marie Presley Since Cowriting Her Memoir: 'Too Weird Not to Be Something' (Exclusive)

Riley Keough Feels Her Late Mother’s Presence

Riley Keough shared that she has sensed signs from her late mother, Lisa Marie Presley, suggesting peace with how her posthumous memoir, From Here to the Great Unknown, was completed. Keough finalized the manuscript after her mother’s passing in 2023.

The actress, known for her role in Daisy Jones & The Six, completed the memoir by carefully listening to tapes of memories Lisa Marie had recorded before her death. These recordings helped her stay true to her mother’s vision for the book.

“I think if you're open to those things, they're kind of everywhere,” Keough told PEOPLE at the Academy x Chanel’s Women’s Luncheon. “I really do believe that.”

“I certainly feel connected to whatever that world may be. There are moments that are too weird not to be something,” she added.

While Keough did not delve into specific details about these experiences, she noted that she would reflect on them in a new heartfelt afterword included in the paperback edition of the memoir, which will be published on November 11 by Penguin Random House.
