Republicans Support U.S. Military Strikes on Suspected Drug Boats
Republicans in the Senate rejected a Democrat-led proposal that would have required President Trump to obtain congressional approval before using the military to destroy suspected drug boats.
According to Rep. Beth Van Duyne, R-Texas, "We are taking the fight out to the seas where it needs to be." She emphasized the severity of the issue, stating, "We're seeing hundreds of thousands of people who are being murdered by drugs. They're illegally pouring in over our borders."
