Indian Motorcycle Ownership Change
US motorcycle maker Indian Motorcycles has changed hands, with a majority stake being sold by current owner Polaris to real estate and private equity firm Carolwood.
Indian Motorcycle will continue to operate as part of Polaris until the deal is complete, expected to occur in early 2026.
- Manufacturing facilities in Spirit Lake, Iowa, and Monticello, Minnesota will transition to the new standalone company.
- The industrial design and technology center in Burgdorf, Switzerland will also transition after the deal is finalized.
Polaris will retain a small equity in the new company.
