Hit-and-Run in Brooklyn Leaves 11-Year-Old Boy Critically Injured
A collision occurred on Ocean Parkway in Gravesend, Brooklyn, where an 11-year-old boy was struck by a driver who then abandoned the car.
According to the NYPD, the incident happened around 5:50 p.m. on Sunday. The boy was riding a seated electric scooter when he was hit by the driver of a black 2026 Acura Integra heading north on the parkway.
A 25-year-old man who was walking nearby sustained minor injuries to his left leg due to debris from the collision.
The boy remains in critical condition at the hospital. The driver's actions are being investigated as a hit-and-run.
