Inquest into 2024 Boat Crash Begins
A coroner's inquest into the 2024 boat crash that killed two men near Rose Island has commenced.
A police officer testified that he recovered the belongings of the victims, Adriel Rolle, 56, and Sean Laing, 51, who died when their vessel struck a reef on June 7, 2024.
- The 32-foot Concept boat had departed a marina for South Andros when it hit the reef.
- All three people on board were ejected, and the victims were later found by a passing vessel.
- The lone survivor, Julian Butler, a retired police reservist, was treated for head injuries.
