John Ferretti Wins Hempstead Supervisor Race

Incumbent Town of Hempstead Supervisor John Ferretti has declared victory over Democratic candidate Joseph Scianablo.

Ten supervisor seats were up for election across Long Island, along with several council positions and a mayoral post. Ferretti's win was part of a sweep by Nassau Republicans, who retained all three supervisor seats in the county.

"We took all three towns,"

said Nassau Republican Committee Chairman Joseph G. at the Coral House in Baldwin. In addition to Ferretti's win, Supervisor Jennifer DeSena declared victory in North Hempstead, and Supervisor Joseph Saladino was reelected in Oyster Bay.
