WILMINGTON — On Wednesday evening, a man sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run collision on Independence Boulevard.
Wilmington Police Department officers responded around 7:26 p.m. to reports of a pedestrian hit in the 4200 block of Independence Boulevard. The driver fled the scene before police arrived.
The victim was rushed to the hospital for emergency care and remains in critical condition. Authorities continue to investigate the incident actively.
WPD urges anyone with information to contact them directly or submit an anonymous tip via Tip 411.
