Lorraine Kelly has commented on Meghan Markle's reported return to acting, sharing that she found the Duchess' most well-known role somewhat irritating at the time.
During her daytime show on Thursday morning, the 65-year-old presenter addressed the news that Meghan Markle, 44, appears to be resuming her acting career.
Before marrying Prince Harry in 2018, Meghan was best known for playing lawyer Rachel Zane in the legal drama Suits. She starred in the show for seven years, starting with the pilot in 2011.
Reports indicate Meghan is preparing to act again alongside Brie Larson, Lily Collins, Brit Henry, and Jack Quaid in the production Close Personal Friends. She was reportedly spotted on set in Pasadena, Los Angeles, on Wednesday.
“Suits was really good, I thought she was a wee bit... her character was a bit annoying. That wasn't her fault, it was the character, but she can do whatever she wants.”
Kelly also acknowledged that Meghan has the freedom to pursue any career direction she chooses.
These roles came before Meghan gained global fame after joining the royal family.
While Lorraine Kelly found Meghan Markle's iconic role somewhat annoying, she supports the Duchess's choice to return to acting and pursue her passions freely.
