Launch Details and Variants
The updated HiLux is scheduled for launch in Australia in December 2025. It will feature 21 diesel variants across single, extra, and double cab styles, with options for 4X2 or 4X4 drivetrains and manual or automatic transmissions.
- Trim levels include WorkMate, SR, SR5, Rogue, and Rugged X.
- The Rugged X focuses on enhanced off-road capability, equipped with features tailored for protection and recovery in tough terrain.
Design and Interior Enhancements
The bold exterior, developed locally in Altona in collaboration with Thailand and Japan, draws inspiration from a "Cyber Sumo" theme. It showcases slim headlights, sharp contours, and fully redesigned front and rear ends.
The redesigned three-tiered dashboard "sits flatter compared with the current model, improving forward visibility."
The interior overhaul includes a fresh dashboard layout that enhances driver sightlines and adds to cabin comfort.
